Ten Signs You're Reading a Fic bymechaieh/bronze_ribbons:
1. It's Snape/Lupin.
2. It's post-HBP.
3. Snape is not evil.
4. Lupin always knew it and/or figured it out before everyone else.
5. The title's cribbed from English madrigals, French poetry, or the Bible.
6. Allusions to Shakespeare, Sayers, Donne, Doyle...
7. It's a 100-word drabble.
8. Characters keep staring at each other with varying degrees of incredulity and/or affection.
9. Characters dither and snark in italics instead of actually saying aloud what they're thinking.
10. When they do actually get around to talking, their voices are often "husky". Or "rough." Or "nearly inaudible."
